5. Data Collected from Customer's Application

When the Guidesail Builder is launched by an authorized user, it is temporarily accessing the customer's application solely for the purpose of visually creating and targeting in-app content. To accurately position tooltips and other elements, the Builder must parse the HTML DOM to extract CSS selector information and visually understand the page layout. Data processing is strictly limited to information available to the browser on the specific page where the Builder is running, and only for the duration the Builder is active. No data is collected from any other page, tab, or application at any time.

6. End-User Data Collection 

The Guidesail in-app embedded script is designed for minimal collection in the customer's application. Its primary function is to monitor the user's URL path to determine if a Guidesail message (e.g., a guide, tooltip, or modal) should be launched. The script does not collect any page content, HTML, or images whatsoever except for recording when a guide is shown, how the user interacts with it (e.g., step completed, guide closed), and when it is dismissed. Additional information about the customer's user (such as an internal user ID or email) may be collected for the customer's own analytics and targeting, but only if the customer explicitly chooses to provide such data to the script.
